Description

It can carry weapons such as missiles weighing up to 7 tons, and the nose is equipped with a GAU-8/A Avenger autocannon to achieve high attack capability. In 2005, the A-10C, which had undergone renovations such as a glass cockpit, made its first flight. It is operated by the United States Air Force. The 47th Fighter Squadron, based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona, is one of the units that operate the A-10C and has operated the A-10 since 1980. Known by the nickname of Dog Patchers, it is gaining popularity with an illustration of a wild boar's mouth drawn on the nose of the aircraft.
