We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Wholesale Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Hobbyco Imports (HIMP) team covering Australia and New Zealand.

The Role:

As an SMB Business Development Manager at HIMP, you’ll be at the forefront of our high-volume wholesale operations, servicing and prospecting a diverse range of small to medium-sized businesses across Australia and New Zealand. Your mission will drive sales growth by building lasting relationships with new and existing customers, developing tailored solutions, and achieving key business objectives.

This is a full-time role based at our Macquarie Park office. You’ll be expected to maintain a high level of organisation, adaptability, and excellent communication skills in a fast-paced sales environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Outbound sales calls to generate appointments, sales, and new business opportunities.
  • Nurture existing customer relationships and seek new prospects to expand the customer base.
  • Attend customer meetings and industry events to build rapport, deliver product training, and provide outstanding service.
  • Develop customised sales strategies for different clients and ensure they meet their business needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions and drive sales growth.
  • Track and meet KPIs and sales targets.
  • CRM tools like HubSpot are used to maintain accurate customer interactions and progress records.
  • Stay current on the latest trends and products in the hobby and collectibles market to effectively pitch and promote our range.

About You:

You’re a motivated, goal-oriented sales professional who excels in a fast-paced environment. You have a passion for developing relationships and a knack for understanding customers' needs. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Proven experience in B2B or wholesale sales and a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communicator (both written and verbal), able to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Enjoys working with people and building long-term relationships based on trust and mutual benefit.
  • Creative thinker when it comes to in-store merchandising and promoting sales.
  • Flexible, proactive approach to work, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel), ERP systems (Netsuite or similar), and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Solid understanding of social media and can run promotional campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Top 10 Anime IPs, Gundam, and GUNPLA model kits from Bandai (preferred, but not required).
  • A passion for the collector market (preferred, but not required).
