Revell - Star Wars TIE Interceptor
TIE Interceptor is a space fighter from the Star Wars universe that first appeared on the cinema screen in the 1983 movie "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" (Episode VI). It is assumed that the machine was approx. 9.6 m long, approx. 6.4 m wide and approx. 4.9 m high. The propulsion was provided by a double ion engine, and the armament consisted of four interconnected laser cannons. Fighter The TIE Interceptor was a far development of the Empire's primary hunting machine, the TIE Fighter. Compared to its predecessor, it was characterized by even better maneuverability, clearly reinforced on-board armament and a slightly reinforced structure. From the very beginning, it was designed as an "air superiority" machine and the main opponent of the very successful and effective X-WING machines (Incom T-65). In the course of combat operations, machines of this type are used as a long-range cover for own, heavier ships and bombers.
