Dapol - N 38XX Class 3819 GWR Green
The Great Western 2884 is a class of 2-8-0 heavy freight locomotives that were used extensively on GWR routes between 1938 and nationalisation in 1948. In total 167 were built of which 9 survive into preservation. They were hugely popular with their crews and were often requested post nationalisation by ex-GWR engineers, but largely these requests were refused and in the main the fleet was soon replaced by the 9F.
