“Doctor Yellow” is the nickname granted to the Type 923-3000 diagnostic test train which is operated as a full-speed (270 km/h or 168 mph!) track inspection train on Japan’s high-speed bullet train or “Shinkansen” rail lines.
The 923 Shinkansen electric track comprehensive test vehicle, which is popular because of its unsung heroes. Using the 3000 series T5 organization belonging to JR West as a prototype, we will accurately capture and commercialize details that are different from the T4 organization belonging to JR Central. Accurately reproduce the characteristic and unique color tone. The [yellow] that shines in the Shinkansen trains that are based on [white] is fresh.
The observation dome and inspection equipment on the roof, which are unique to the test vehicle, are accurately reproduced throughout the vehicle body. Reproduce the [inspection floodlight] installed near the pantograph of car 2/6 with lighting type. Reproduce the headlight / taillight of the leading car that is different from the normal 700 series. Expresses two colors of headlights with different color tones. Adopted an easy-to-use holo coupler similar to the E5 series [Hayabusa] with a restoration function for the coupling part.
The side windows express the state where the roll curtain is applied. Reproduces the appearance of the actual vehicle during inspection driving. Equipped with a power unit equipped with a well-established flywheel. Achieves smooth and powerful driving.
The 3-car basic set is a paper box, and the 4-car add-on set is a 7-car book case type, which can store a 3-car basic set. When running the 923 Shinkansen Comprehensive Test Vehicle, please use a curved track (elevated curved track) with a radius of R315 or more.
