Dromedary Camel
Dromedary camel’s distinctive character is its ability to survive under the scorching heat in the desert. They can hold up to 100L of water in 10 minutes and can tolerate water loss equal to 30% of their body weight. Male dromedaries have a soft palate called ‘dulaa’ that hangs on the side of its mouth, which they inflate to produce a deep pink sac. This palate, mistaken as the tongue, is used to attract female camels during the mating season.
Out of the three camel species, dromedary is the smallest and was born without a hump until such time they can consume solid food. CollectA’s adherence in the creation of toy animal replicas showcases dromedary camel’s features in its realistic figurine. The CollectA Wild Life Dromedary Camel Toy Figure preserves its unique qualities using only the finest resources.
