HOLDEN EK Home Sweet Home 1000 Piece Puzzle! Holden’s EK series was a facelift of the marques popular FB model, launched with much fanfare in May 1961 because of the introduction of Holden’s first automatic transmission, the Hydra-matic. The model range included the usual Standard or Special sedans and wagons along with two commercials, the utility and panel van. Buyers who opted for the better-appointed Special received additional stainless mouldings and chrome badges, plus glamorous two-tone upholstery and a wider palette of paint colours.
