The Battle rowing ship, similar to the Greek Trier, was the main type of combat ship of the Mediterranean era of antiquity. Three rows of oars of different lengths were placed on three levels. The speed of the trireme was 6-7 knots, two straight sails were used as an auxiliary movement. The main weapon was a RAM bound with bronze, which was a continuation of the keel beam. During the battle, the trireme sought to develop the maximum speed and hit a battering RAM in the side of the enemy, breaking his paddle and hit the Board. On the ship was also installed "Raven" - boarding bridge, which when approaching the enemy ship fell on him. A sharp heavy metal bar - the beak of the "Raven" falling, punched the deck of the enemy and tightly linked the two ships. Formed by the ladder, the Legionnaires got on the enemy ship. The crew of the trireme was up to 350 people, including rowers.
