Tamiya - 1/32 North American F-51D Mustang (Korean War)
The P-51D Mustang is viewed by many as one of the most successful aircraft of WWII. This unique design with laminar flow wing still had plenty to offer after that conflict had ended. In 1950, by now having been re-named the F-51D when the U.S. Air Force was separated from the Army in 1947, it was called into action in the Korean War; airfields on the Korean peninsula were ill-suited to jet aircraft. The F-51D still had the necessary range and ordnance to roll back the years and do the job as a front line fighter.
