In August 1917, the Fokker Dr.I fighter entered German service. Dr.I has a three-layer main wing, which can generate more lift than other aircraft of the same era, allowing for more flexible flight movements. The wingspan of Dr.I's three-layer main wing shrinks from top to bottom. There is even a wing in front of the two main landing gears, which can function as a fourth-layer wing. There are two MG08 air-cooled aviation machine guns installed in front of Dr.I's cockpit, and their firepower is far superior to that of the British triplane fighter. Based on these designs, Dr.I has achieved impressive results in the hands of top pilots such as Fuchs, Richthofen, and Udet, and has left a mark in aviation and military history.
Kit Info
The QS-003 Fokker Dr.I fighter jet is a 1/24 large-scale assembled model kit launched by MENG. When the kit is completed, the wingspan is 300 mm and the overall length is 243 mm. The model includes sophisticated cockpit components and engine internals. Digital engraving technology is used to realistically present the cloth tension effect of the wing. The thermal sheath of the aviation machine gun is integrally formed using special metal technology to realistically restore the precise structure of the aviation machine gun. The seat belts are made of special flexible materials, and the look and feel are beautifully restored. The kit includes precision-etched pieces and offers four paint options.
