Description

Pioneers of the British heavy metal scene, Iron Maiden are the most successful band in their genre. Founded in 1975, Iron Maiden are a global phenomenon, having performed in 60 countries worldwide. Their Book of Souls tour began in 2016, during which the band performed 117 concerts in 36 countries to more than 1.3 million fans. For their last three tours, the band and crew have traveled in specially designed aircraft. Named “Ed Force One” in reference to their mascot, Eddie, each aircraft adorned the design of its album and accompanying world tour. The pilot was none other than lead singer Bruce Dickinson himself, who is also a pilot with the charter airline Astraeus, which owns the two Boeing 757s used on the 2008 and 2011 tours.
