New from the ground up and with the best of US and European design, Holden’s design and engineering team delivered a new era in Australian made cars – the HQ. When the Monaro was released it was commended for it’s eye-catching pillarless coupe roof line and its wrap-over rear window, the forward reaching and deep grille looked to be devouring the road ahead. Holden’s long experience with Australian conditions meant the design improvements didn’t stop with exterior looks. New levels of structural strength and safety, rough road stability and grip and a totally new rear suspension.
