January 2022, the world championship moves into the hybrid era and discovers the new “Rally1” which replaces the “WorldRallyCars” introduced in 1997. Sébastien Loeb and Sébastien Ogier are at the start of Monte-Carlo, each at the wheel of a Rally1 different. Following this superb fight between “the two Sebs”, Loeb ended up winning the 2022 Monte-Carlo Rally after his opponent’s puncture in the penultimate special. He thus won his 8th victory at the “Monte-Carl’” for his first rally at the wheel of a Ford and for his first rally co-driven by Isabelle Galmiche! He also becomes the first winner of the hybrid era in WRC, a historic moment in many ways!
