- The 99T is a machine developed by Lotus in the 1987 Formula 1 series.
- It was a big feature that it was equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine such as V6, and was equipped with an active suspension controlled by a computer and hydraulic pressure.
- The idea of active suspension, which detects the unevenness of the road surface with a sensor and actively moves the suspension to maintain the proper posture with the road surface at all times, had a great influence on the subsequent machine development.
- Team Lotus fought the season in the 1987 season with two drivers on the Lotus 99T.
- One is Satoru Nakajima, who attracted attention as the first Japanese regular F1 driver, and the other is Ayrton Senna.
