Description
  • The 99T is a machine developed by Lotus in the 1987 Formula 1 series.

  • The idea of active suspension, which detects the unevenness of the road surface with a sensor and actively moves the suspension to maintain the proper posture with the road surface at all times, had a great influence on the subsequent machine development.
  • Team Lotus fought the season in the 1987 season with two drivers on the Lotus 99T.
  • One is Satoru Nakajima, who attracted attention as the first Japanese regular F1 driver, and the other is Ayrton Senna.
  • Ace driver Senna won the Monaco Grand Prix in the 4th round of the season.
  • It was the first time for Senna and Honda, an engine supplier, to conquer Monaco.
