Vought F4U-1A Corsair. Revell Germany. The Chance Vought F4U Corsair was an American fighter aircraft that saw service primarily in World War II and the Korean War. The designation F4U-1A does not appear in lists of Corsair Bureau Numbers and was not officially used, being applied post-war to differentiate mid-to-late production F4U-1s from the early production variant. Kit features detailed surfaces with recessed panel lines, cockpit with instrument panel, 2-piece canopy, R2800 radial engine, 1-piece movable propeller with spinner, 2 Auxiliary fuel tanks, undercarriage and boxed in wheel wells. Decals and markings for (2) aircraft: VMF-214 Squadron US Marine Corps Vella Lavella Solomon Islands December 1943 "Pappy Boyington" and VF-17 Squadron US Navy Bougainville Solomon Islands February 1944 - includes instrument panel.
