The most famous British aircraft of World War II combined excellent flying characteristics with an outstanding performance. The first production Spitfire were delivered in July 1938. The RR Merlin engine devefoped 1,470 ps., max. speed 594 km/h.

Launched in 1943, Revell initially produced a wide range of products, including train sets, scale buildings and "action pull toys" recreating some of America's most popular automobiles. However, the brand found its niche with a line of fast-building "Highway Pioneers" plastic model car kits in the early 1950s. After their success, Revell focused exclusively on making models that were as authentic as they were enjoyable.
