      What is Demon Slayer?

Kimetsu no Yaiba, commonly called Demon Slayer in Western culture, is a Japanese anime series like no other.

The main character in the series is Tanjiro Kamado. After his father died, Tanjiro was left responsible for supporting his poor rural family. One day Tanjiro returned home from selling charcoal in the local village to find his family brutally killed by a demon. Only his sister, Nezuko, survived but turned into a demon herself as a result of being bitten. Tanjiro refuses to kill his only remaining family member and instead embarks on a mission to avenge his family with her by his side.

The rest of the anime series follows the adventures of Tanjiro, Nezuko and the friends they make along the way.

What Types of Demon Slayer Figures Are Available?

Hobbyco is the best place to shop for Demon Slayer figures in Australia, with five different popular figurine types for you to choose from — anime kits, gashapon & collectibles, prize figures, scale figures and plush toys.

Anime kits are sets that come with multiple parts so that the figure can be assembled in different ways. The popular Kamado Tanjiro kit, for example, allows you to build Tanjiro and combine him with a number of effect parts to replicate popular movements and moments from the show.

Gashapon & collectibles are small in size due to the fact that you would traditionally get them out of a Gashapon machine (a gumball machine) in Japan. The Hobbyco range of Gashapons comes in a collection of five demon slayer figurines each, with the choice between Nezuko, Tanjiro and the Hashiras figurine sets on offer.

Prize figures are your budget-friendly option. They are named as such because they would typically be won in claw machines or given away at events. Hobbyco has an extensive range of over 30 Demon Slayer prize figures for you to add to your collection, including main characters as well as all your favourite supporting characters and foes.

Our Demon Slayer scale figures are made to scale, as the name suggests. This means that all of its parts are made in proportion to the real life-sized character. Most of them fit in the palm of your hand, like the palm-size Nezuku or Shinobu.

The Demon Slayer plush toys come in various sizes, from the 10cm Nezuko to the 20cm Tanjiro and 32cm Tengen Uzui. These adorable Demon Slayer toys are perfect for decorating your bedroom or as a gift for younger Demon Slayer fans.

What is the Best Demon Slayer Figure?

Which Demon Slayer figure is the best is a matter of opinion. However, if you are interested in which of our figurines are the most popular, we recommend checking out the Giyu and Daki scale figures.

Both of these high-quality products were made by Banpresto, so it's no wonder that they're some of the most popular Demon Slayer figures available in Australia.

How to Start Collecting Demon Slayer Figures

The best way to kick-start your Demon Slayer figurine collection is to begin with the core characters, including Tanjiro and Nezuko. From there, you can add Tanjiro's sensei,  Sakonji Urokodaki, and Tanjiro's two best friends — Zenitsu and Inosuke.

Next up, you can add to your collection by purchasing the different Hashiras and upper-rank demons from each season. For example, in season 2, the Hashira, Rengoku, challenges the Upper Rank Three demon, Akaza. By collecting these Demon Slayer figurines, you can roleplay their final battle on the Mugen Train.
