The twin-engine Ca.313 was developed by the Italian aeronautical company Caproni in the late 1930s. Derived from the Caproni Ca. 310 Libeccio, it was used by the Regia Aeronautica during the Second World War to carry out light bombing, aerial observation and reconnaissance missions. The engines were two 12-cylinder Isotta Fraschini Delta RC 35s which delivered a power of 730 HP and could make the Caproni plane reach 430 km/h. The engines adopted metal three-bladed variable-pitch propellers. The Ca.314 version was modified for use as a ground attack aircraft, maritime reconnaissance, convoy escort and torpedo bomber. The "Caproni" were used by the Regia Aeronautica in various operational areas of the Mediterranean and North Africa. They were also used by the Swedish Air Force and the German Luftwaffe.
